In this magnificent re-edition of the famous Hemingway Club chair, little ones can play at being budding writers. A superb model that will be transmitted from generation to generation.
More than just a piece of furniture, the Hemingway child club chair is an exceptional decorative item. It takes the same shape as its big brother, the Hemingway club chair, but with dimensions adapted to smaller children.
Beyond its sleek look, this model is endowed with the comfort that has made the club chair legendary. The seat, backrest, and armrests are generously padded to provide a coolly and cozy relaxing experience.
The back is slightly tilted backward to promote a sense of well-being and pleasure. The armrests are raised enough for children to rest their arms comfortably. This makes it a wonderful gift for a child who will appreciate having their own space and being able to emulate the grown-ups!
Part of the charm of this model lies in its covering made from basane leather. This noble material is particularly soft and pleasant to the touch. Before dressing this handcrafted child club chair, the leather undergoes a vegetable tanning process. This ancestral method preserves the raw nature of the leather and respects the environment. Even better, it makes the leather hypoallergenic.
This full-grain sheepskin leather, 1.4 to 1.6 mm thick, is ideal for children. Indeed, it is one of the softest and most durable leathers available. Your child can romp around freely, and the leather will not tear. This makes it the perfect reading or relaxation companion for young children who will take great pleasure in owning and using their personal chair.
The Hemingway child club chair has been designed with the same attention to detail and the same materials as a traditional club chair. The frame and legs are made from solid beech. This is a particularly robust and durable wood. Before being assembled by hand, the wood is kiln-dried to ensure a product that remains stable over time, usage, and temperature variations. These characteristics provide exceptional longevity.
The back is fixed with upholsterer’s nails, giving this little club chair a charming vintage design. However, we also offer a piped finish. Soft, medium or firm, you can choose the level of comfort you want for your child. The waxing and patina will be applied entirely by hand by our craftsmen, according to your specifications.
The Hemingway child club chair comes in eight timeless colours: cognac, honey, Havana, chocolate, red, black, antique green, and English green. Additionally, we can create custom colours based on a sample of your child’s favourite colour, for example. The Hemingway club chair is a lifelong companion that will remain in the family furniture and be passed down from generation to generation.

Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is less steep, which makes it easier to get up.
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
