With its basane leather upholstery and the quality of its artisanal craftsmanship, this vintage-accented model will naturally become the keystone of your interior décor. The distinctive shape of its backrest gives it character, while its wide, rounded, and padded P-shaped armrests make this design exceptionally warm and inviting. This effect is further enhanced by the basane leather that covers the entire Grand Chapeau de Gendarme Club Chair.
This full-grain sheepskin leather, particularly thick, is selected for its ability to remain beautiful and supple. Additionally, the contact with the animal skin, soft and silky, is a true pleasure. The backrest of the Grand Chapeau de Gendarme Club Chair is secured with traditional upholstery nails, reminiscent of authentic club chairs from the last century. This finish, inherited from the tradition of master craftsmen, reinforces the overall structure while giving it an irresistible retro allure.

In keeping with tradition, the structure and legs of the Grand Chapeau de Gendarme Club Chair are made from solid beech wood. First kiln-dried, they are then assembled by hand to ensure they remain stable for decades. Both original and adaptable, this chair will easily fit into a living room, office, or bedroom. You’ll love admiring this unique decorative piece, but you’ll appreciate its legendary comfort even more.
Furthermore, you can choose between soft, medium, or firm comfort levels based on your preferences, body type, and intended use. For added comfort, you can also opt for seat suspensions, providing extra flexibility when you sit down – a true delight. Finally, the complete waxing of the chair will protect and keep the leather soft and shiny.

Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is less steep, which makes it easier to get up.
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
