This large club sofa pays homage to the legend of French cinema, Jean Gabin. Like him, this model is imposing, rustic, yet also warm and elegant. Settle into this roomy three-seater sofa and savour its delightfully curved lines, designed solely for your comfort. Everything about this model exudes generosity. The armrests, backrest, and cushions are kindly padded. Its broad and deep seat is ideal for welcoming friends and enjoying a classic film together, such as A Monkey in Winter. The Gabin 3-seater Club Sofa is chic and spacious, adorned with refined details. Delicate, symmetrical topstitching decorates the armrests, backrest, and even the front of the frame.
We chose basane leather to upholster our divans. This is a full-grain sheepskin leather of exceptional quality. With a thickness of 1.4 to 1.6 mm, it withstands the test of time and wear. We collaborate with a renowned tannery in the southwest of France, where the leather is enhanced through vegetable tanning – a traditional method that treats the hides gently, enriching their beauty and durability. In winter, basane leather retains warmth, while in summer, it regulates the atmosphere and provides a refreshing coolness. The large Gabin club sofa has a refined, authentic style, making it a proud centrepiece for any living room.
This superb club sofa is as solid as it looks, thanks to its artisanal construction and the use of premium materials. The entire frame is made of solid beech wood, a wood species prized by cabinetmakers for its density and strength. Initially, we kiln dry the wood to stabilise it, then fully assemble it by hand. The sturdy, solid base is also crafted from beech wood, painted, and varnished to protect against external wear. The back of the sofa is upholstered in basane leather, fastened with bronze-coloured upholstery nails that create an elegant trim, lending the model a vintage-style while reinforcing the leather panels. Alternatively, we can use leather piping instead, offering the same strength but a more subtle look.
At Mon Fauteuil Club, we specialise in custom designs. As such, we offer a wide range of options and fully customised finishes, starting with the leather colour. Our classic shades include cognac, chocolate, honey, Havana, black, antique green, and English green. However, we can create bespoke shades using a sample provided by you. You can also choose your preferred comfort level – soft, medium, or firm. Additionally, we offer the option to add backrest springs for an even softer feel. The leather
Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
The colour and finish
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame
The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.

The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
