Its generous shapes are designed with the comfort of its occupants in mind, with a plush backrest, armrests, and cushions that are lavishly padded. This sofa is covered in premium full-grain sheepskin leather, with a thickness ranging from 1.4 to 1.6 mm. Treated using traditional vegetable tanning by our renowned tannery in the Basque region, this leather is incredibly durable.
You may notice slight marks or scratches on the skin of the leather, each unique, telling the story of the animal’s life and adding to the particularity of your sofa. After sharing laughter and conversations, you can quickly transform your sofa into a snug bed, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The bed frame is made from welded metal, while the base is crafted from wooden slats, offering optimal comfort. All our mattresses are made by the renowned French brand Bultex, ensuring the highest quality rest for your guests.
The frame and legs of this convertible club sofa are made from solid beech wood, chosen for its aesthetic appeal and exceptional durability. We supply this convertible club sofa in eight timeless and classic colours: honey, Havana, cognac, chocolate, black, red, antique green, and English green. However, we can also create custom colours based on a sample provided by you. You can also customise the seating comfort level according to your needs – firm, medium, or soft, depending on your preferences. Additionally, we give an optional spring suspension in the backrest for added flexibility.
To enhance its vintage appeal, the backrest is secured with traditional brass upholstery nails. This beautiful finish can be replaced with a piped edge if you favour a more subtle look. The more you use your bed, the more durable and high quality your mattress needs to be. You’ll often find mattresses on the market labelled “polyurethane foam”, but this is not enough, nor is it a guarantee of quality. In fact, these mattresses are only relatively comfortable and have a limited lifespan.

The mechanics of the convertible bed
The bed’s mechanism is also important. It must be solid and easy to open. Make sure it’s high quality and easy to open. Remember, the sofa bed must be functional and adapt to your daily life, not the other way round. A bed that’s too heavy for you to unfold is a bed you’ll end up not using. In the end, you’ll regret your purchase, so make sure the mechanics are impeccable and solid.
Remember: it’s normal to strain a little when opening a convertible bed, but an adult should be able to unfold it easily.
For our convertible club sofas, we’ve opted for a 3-ply mechanism that inserts into the wooden frame. All our models are equipped with a cozy, 8cm HR polyurethane foam mattress. Only the Hemingway and Grand Carré convertible sofas feature a 13 cm thick mattress, for the most demanding sleepers. All our bed bases are made of wooden slats, far more comfortable and durable than the sprung bases of our ancestors.
Last but not least, our convertible bed systems are based on high-quality mechanics that are easy to open and close on a daily basis.

Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
There are 2 types of frames:
The seat cushion is less steep, which makes it easier to get up.
The seat cushion is lowered more, which can cause problems when standing up.
