The Jules Chair is “The Original Club,” inspiring round Club armchairs with its generous curves and legendary comfort. A must-have, top-of-the-range armchair, crafted with respect for tradition.
The Jules model is one of the iconic and timeless club chairs, captivating lovers of vintage furniture in search of authenticity. Its design is inspired by the original club chair, with curves and contours that have retained their charm over time.
Created around 1929, the original Club chair was first called the comfortable chair. It soon abandoned its name to become the Club due to its popularity in gentleman’s clubs.
The Club chair features round shapes, a low back, a generous seat and thick upholstery. In addition, bi-conical springs provide the extra cushioning that makes it so comfortable.
Jules is an authentic model, crafted employing traditional methods.
High-quality full-grain sheepskin leather covers the Jules club chair. Artisans meticulously apply the stain, patina, and wax by hand. The leather is treated by a renowned French tannery using an ancestral vegetable tanning process, making it soft, supple, and durable, while enhancing its natural colour and patina.
Its structure and legs are made from kiln-dried solid beech, ensuring excellent longevity for this high-end furniture.
The joints are securely stapled and glued to guarantee durability.
For the backrest, you can choose between a studded design for a vintage look reminiscent of the first club chairs, or piped detailing for a more discreet appearance.
We offer three different comfort levels to satisfy even the most discerning tastes: soft, medium, or firm.
In conclusion, the Jules model is undoubtedly one of the most popular in our collection.

Our Club chairs are made of 1.4/1.6 mm thick full grain sheep leather (basane leather).
This leather is renowned for its strength and softness and guarantees excellent long-term durability.
The vegetable tanning of our skins is done in the Toulouse region by a tannery with world-renowned know-how.
During assembly, in order to obtain an optimal result, we wet the leather so that it perfectly fits the curves of the model.
We then let the skin dry naturally.
Once the chair is dry, we colour it with the chosen shade.
Once dyed, the leather is patinated and waxed by hand to bring out the roughness of the leather. This step underlines the elegance and the beautiful natural colour of the material. The back is studded or finished with piping, as desired.

The frame and legs of our models are made entirely of solid beech. Our wood is kiln-dried, which increases its strength. The joints are carefully stapled and glued.
